I’m a freelance composer, producer and vocalist. I completed a Masters in Composition at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington and my passion is in writing music for film and game, as well as songwriting and producing electronic and contemporary pop music.
Like most composers, I’m also an active performer, most notably for my vocals, although I learnt classical piano from a young age, and later learned guitar, bass, and started exploring other instruments from different cultures. This journey of performance lead me through quite a vast array of genres, such as Balkan folk and gypsy, Greek rembetiko, Javanese and Balinese gamelan orchestra, punk rock, flamenco, Latin, jazz, pop, and folk/singer-songwriter. I am an experienced vocal coach and session vocalist, having done numerous vocal recordings for film, television, and other music projects.
To accompany my work, I began creating my own music videos which lead me to become a video artist/director. My interest in visual arts came from an upbringing with a family of artists, and it still remains a passion. Although I studied music, I prefer to think of myself as an artist of many paths, that is - music, poetry and lyric writing, video art, and illustration. As you navigate through my work, it is evident that these different art forms often cross over into one another.
