River Tongue

River Tongue is an electronic and vocal project centred on creating music with my 1980s analogue synthesiser, the Ensoniq SQ-80, to accompany lyrics written as poetry rather than conventional pop or folk forms. The pieces unfold freely and intuitively, functioning more as compositions than traditionally structured songs. Sonically, the project leans into textured synthesis and spacious atmospheres, evoking a sense of nostalgia — tinged with melancholy — while retaining a quiet, magical quality.

Performing My Music? I’d Love to Hear

I welcome hearing about performances of my work, as it helps broaden my network and demonstrate the diverse contexts in which my music is presented!
